Domein Holset Dame 2021 is a complex and characterful sparkling wine that highlights the purity and depth of 100% Chardonnay, crafted as a refined Blanc de Blancs using the traditional method. Sourced exclusively from the vineyards of Holset, this cuvée reflects both terroir precision and artisanal winemaking.
The vinification is deliberately layered: 40% of the base wine is fermented and aged in French oak, 40% in stainless steel, and 20% in ceramic, creating complexity, texture, and a subtle interplay between fruit purity and refined oak influence. After 24 months of ageing on the lees, Dame 2021 is disgorged in August 2024 as a Brut Nature, with zero dosage, allowing its natural balance and mineral character to shine.

Distributed across Holset, Voerendaal, and Klimmen, they make use of their ideal areas. This means they are not concentrated in a single region. Historically, Limburg is not considered a wine region like Reims or Burgundy, yet it does share some similarities. The vineyards are planted on soils with a loess-rich top layer, containing flint, gravel, and limestone. This composition contributes to the freshness, minerality, and structure of the wines.
