Pierre Mignon
Maison Pierre Mignon was founded in 1892 by Octave Mignon in Le Breuil, at the heart of the Marne Valley. There, he installed the family’s first champagne presses, laying the foundations for the future business. Over the course of several generations, the family preserved and refined the art of champagne-making, pursuing excellence through a commitment to tradition.
Terroir & Vineyards
Located in Le Breuil, in the heart of the Marne Valley, Maison Pierre Mignon cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards across the region’s top crus. Planted with Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir on chalky, limestone-rich soils, the vineyards benefit from a mild climate and diverse micro-terroirs.

This terroir lends the champagne a freshness and finesse alongside expressive fruit notes, offering a perfect balance of elegance, minerality and complexity. Fascinatingly, the Marne Valley’s slopes are located on ancient seabeds, with the chalky soils remaining from these prehistoric oceans bestowing Champagne with its signature crispness and mineral character.
Craftmanship & technique
The Maison combines generational know-how with modern technology: grapes are carefully selected at harvest and pressed quickly in a hub with five presses, allowing terroirs and grape varieties to be distinguished and fully expressed.
Slow, natural decanting and careful cellar methods that avoid filtering, fining and treatments preserve the purest aromatic expression. Reserve wines are blended using the solera method to add complexity and continuity across vintages
It’s signature style

Maison Pierre Mignon champagnes are elegant, fresh, and expressive, reflecting the unique character of their terroir. They balance vibrant fruit, delicate minerality, and refined aromatic complexity, achieved through meticulous grape selection and patient cellar techniques. Each cuvée offers finesse and harmony, capturing the signature style of this family-run Maison.
