Domein Holset Dame 2022 is a complex and characterful sparkling wine made entirely from 100% Chardonnay, a true Blanc de Blancs crafted according to the traditional method. Sourced from the chalk-rich vineyards of Holset, Voerendaal, and Klimmen, this cuvée expresses terroir, precision, and elegance at the highest level of Dutch sparkling winemaking.
The base wine is vinified with great attention to detail: 70% fermented and aged in stainless steel, 20% in small French oak barrels, and 10% in ceramic, adding depth, texture, and subtle complexity. A full malolactic fermentation refines the acidity, while 30 months of bottle aging on the lees bring harmony and structure. Disgorged in August 2024 as a Brut Nature (0 g/l dosage), Dame 2022 is a pure and uncompromising expression of Chardonnay.

Distributed across Holset, Voerendaal, and Klimmen, they make use of their ideal areas. This means they are not concentrated in a single region. Historically, Limburg is not considered a wine region like Reims or Burgundy, yet it does share some similarities. The vineyards are planted on soils with a loess-rich top layer, containing flint, gravel, and limestone. This composition contributes to the freshness, minerality, and structure of the wines.
